Many so-called planar drivers on the market are simply dynamic drivers with reduced voice coil height, which are fundamentally different from the genuine planar driver! In recent years, some brands have introduced the so-called "planar magnet driver" merely to capitalize on the popularity of the true planar driver, misleading consumers with gimmicky products. Essentially, these are just dynamic drivers with reduced voice coil height, relying on 2-4 magnets and a coil to produce sound.
